A Little Story
One day back in 2007 I was walking the town looking for a job, I walked into Robin's shop and she was talking with a customer. I asked if she was hiring, she replied with a laugh "what a coincidence, I just had to let my employee go." So I filled out an appilcation and talked for a few minutes about my work history and why I was looking for work. She told me that she would think about it and let me know in a couple days. After I left I went on to fill out many more applications at several different places, then returned home. Later that evening I recieved a call from Robin asking me if I would be able to come in the next day and see if I liked it .
The next day I show up nervous, but excited. I continued to work for her for 3 years and then I had to move away. After a few years I returned and would go visit Robin every so often just to say hi. One time when I went to visit and she was talking about how she was getting behind, so I told her that if she needed any help she could call me. A couple days later Robin shows up at my house asking me if I can come help her get caught up, just a couple hours a week. I continued to work for her for another year.
One day I came in and Robin told me that she was going to retire, sell the shop and move to Virginia. There was a couple that were going to buy the shop, but it fell through, so I got to thinking and decided to go for it, when I went to Robin and told her, she was shocked and she asked me "why?" I told her "because I love doing this."
Now I am the owner of Framing by Robin.
